Terms of service

Last updated: April 20, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using MaterialMath ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. Use of calculators

The calculators on MaterialMath are provided free of charge, as-is, with no warranty of any kind. They are intended as planning aids for do-it-yourself projects. We make every effort to verify calculations against published manufacturer spec sheets (Quikrete, Sakrete, and others), but we do not guarantee that any result is correct, complete, or fit for your specific situation.

3. Accuracy disclaimer

For any project where structural integrity, safety, code compliance, or significant cost is at stake — consult a licensed professional. Material yields vary based on temperature, humidity, mixing technique, and a hundred other field variables. A calculator is a starting point, not a final answer.

You are responsible for verifying all measurements, complying with local building codes, obtaining permits, and pulling utility locates before digging. We are not your contractor, engineer, or building inspector.

4. Affiliate disclosure

Some links on this Site are affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and complete a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate and participant in retailer affiliate programs (including Home Depot and Lowe's), we earn from qualifying purchases. Affiliate relationships do not influence the math on the Site.

5. Intellectual property

The Site, its design, source code, copy, calculations, and branding are owned by MaterialMath. You may use the calculators for personal or commercial DIY projects but you may not copy, scrape, redistribute, or republish the Site or its contents without written permission.

6. User submissions

If you submit a message through the contact form or sign up with your email, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store and process that information for the purpose of responding to you and improving the Site. See the Privacy Policy for details.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MaterialMath, its operators, and contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Site or its calculators — including but not limited to wasted materials, project failures, code violations, injury, or property damage. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Site is to stop using it.

8. Third-party links

The Site contains links to third-party retailers and services. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or business practices of those third parties.

9. Changes to the Site

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice. Calculator formulas and default values may change as we refine them.

10. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which MaterialMath's operator is principally located, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in that jurisdiction.
